Eligibility:
General submission regulations:
1) All films MUST be filmed on a mobile device using one the following Operating Systems:
Apple iOS
Google Android
Blackberry OS
Nokia Symbian
Films may be edited on computer using any editing platform available.
2) Filming and post-production must be completed between 12:00am February 1st, 2012 and 11:59pm February 29th, 2012.
3) Films in any language other than English must be subtitled in English.
4) Films must be 5 minutes or less in length.
All submissions must be accompanied by:
1) A completed entry form including synopsis and credits list.
2) One (1) separate DVD data disc containing the following: – Promotional trailer (maximum 2 minutes) – Poster (minimum 2550×3300 pixels. JPEG, PNG, PDF formats preferred)
3) Entry fee.
Incomplete entries will not be accepted.
Submission Deadline: 9:00am March 1st, 2012
Fees, shipping, and disclaimer:
A $10.00 entry fee is required to offset the cost of film transfers for viewing at the event. All insurance and shipping costs are the responsibility of the entrant. Due care will be taken in the handling of submissions, but the showcase does not accept responsibility for damage or loss of materials submitted. Do not send master copies as we are unable to return them.
Permissions:
By submitting to the Shot on Mobile Film Showcase (SOMFS), the filmmaker (or representative) agrees that:
1) SOMFS is permitted to use the submitted works and any and all press materials of all selected entries for publicity and promotional purposes.
2) Filmmakers’ contact info (website, email) may be published in the festival program and on the SOMFS website.
3) SOMFS is permitted to retain the submitted video for inclusion in our non-circulating library.
4) SOMBS is not responsible for any damage to or loss of materials submitted in any way. 5) The person signing the entry from must be legally authorized to enter this film in the 2011 Shot on Mobile Film Showcase.
Any copyrighted materials included in the work (logos, music, etc) must have been legally cleared for use and must show documentation.
The Shot on Movile Film Showcase is NOT a competitive festival. However all entries are reviewed by a selection committee for possible inclusion in the showcase. Only the successful candidates will be contacted.
